I’d Like to Buy a Vowell

Speaking of Simon & Schuster, the paperback and audio versions of Sarah Vowell’s The Partly Cloudy Patriot were just released today, and McSweeney’s has posted a few audio clips to their web site. You’ll need to install the RealOne Player to listen to the clips, but it’s worth the free download. For the audio version, she “called upon some show biz friends” (including Conan O’Brien and Stephen Colbert) “to glitz up the narrative by providing the voices of politicians.”
