New Look
Lured by the new features offered by The Great Blogger Relaunch, The Olive Press is trying out a new look. Feel free to let me know what you think.
At the very least, I hope you’ll agree that the new, built-in comments feature pretty much blows away my previous Enetation comments (the archives of which I’m afraid are now permanently lost).
Update
Okay, based on feedback (in my new commenting system) that basically confirmed what I’d already believed (that my previous design was nicer and more original than my new one), I’ve gone back to the “classic” design for this site. The good news is that I think I figured out how to keep the only feature of the new design I actually liked (i.e., the page-per-post commenting engine).
But I’m still open to feedback (see how seriously I take it?). If you prefer the “new” design (which you can still check out over at my other site), let me know.

I think that the old look was much better. I don’t want to sully your new toy, but I’m not a fan. It is, though, what you write that is more important. ~BE

Hmmm, I must say that I agree with you BE/Anonymous (and I thank you for what I’ll go ahead and interpret as a compliment on my previous design and “what I write”), but I’m not sure what to do about it. I also don’t like the fact that, aside from what I write, my site is pretty much indistinguishable now from any blogger who just signed up as a result of Blogger’s new relaunch.
Perhaps I’ll try fiddling with my old template to incorporate Blogger’s new built-in comments. I had many complaints from readers who tried using my previous commenting system. Just as what I write is most important, I aslo value what readers write, or what they would write if my commenting system were reliable and easy to use.
At any rate, I welcome further critique or comment, and if anyone knows an easy solution I’m all ears.
